Hi, I’m Camilla from the Baltimore Area Council and I’m here to talk to you about the new resources for Den Leaders that will become available with the rollout of the new Cub Scout program updates later this year.

The move of Den Leader resources from the Den Leader Experience to Scouting.org is a game-changer for making the scouting program more accessible and user-friendly.

Imagine: no more digging through multiple platforms to find what you need – it’s all going to be in one convenient spot!

Those mock-ups they’ve shown us give a sneak peek into how easy it’s going to be to navigate through the resources. Plus, having each badge of rank with its own landing page means you can bookmark or use QR codes for quick access in the future.

They’ve really thought about making things simple for us Den Leaders. Highlighting Bobcat as the first Adventure is a smart move, and having landing pages for each Adventure is like having a roadmap right in front of you. It’s super handy having all the essential info like Adventure snapshots, safety guidelines, and requirements right there where you need it.

Now, let’s talk about those activity cards – they’re a stroke of genius! With those icons showing whether an activity is indoor or outdoor, how active it is, how intense the supplies are, and how much prep time is needed, picking the perfect activity is a breeze. It’s like having a cheat sheet for planning meetings tailored to your resources and what your Cub Scouts are into.

And can we talk about the sheer number of activity pages they’re rolling out? Over 1,300 options! That’s like having a treasure trove of fun ideas at your fingertips. Each activity page comes loaded with everything you need – supply lists, directions, and even extra resources like photos or videos. It’s like they’ve taken all the guesswork out of planning, leaving us with more time to focus on what really matters – having a blast with our Cub Scouts!
